About the Authors
Laverne Warner, Ph.D., is a coordinator and professor of early childhood education at Sam Houston State University in Texas. She is also a past president of the Texas Association for the Education of Young Children, and has published over 100 articles in journals across the country and presented many workshops on early childhood topics. She lives in Huntsville, Texas.

Sharon Anne Lynch, Ed.D., is a professor of special education at Sam Houston State University in Texas. She has been an educational consultant, an educational diagnostician, a special education teacher, and has authored numerous articles in national education journals. She lives in Huntsville, Texas.
