Disorders of Regulation in Affect and Behaviour is a practical guide for mental health professionals working with infants and children who experience disorders with self-regulation; including poor sensory processing, attention deficits, sleep problems, feeding disorders and problems with play and social interactions.

In Part 1 the concept of self-regulation is defined and its impact on attachment processes are presented. Part 2 considers particular types of regulation problems in the context of detailed case studies. Treatment approaches include parent-child psychotherapy, sensory integration and behavioural management.
